Divide and Conquer
Throwback to simpler times, the triumph of a former student at Rikers Island jail who sent the above photo as she flew over the island, six years ago. I can't think of a better way to celebrate freedom. True freedom is of the mind, and inside the prison walls I've met saintly souls who had fully accepted their very difficult circumstances, who glowed with inner light and serenity, spreading joy everywhere. These days I cling to meditation as a life raft, badly in need of the inner stillness in which the universe offers a glimpse of its limitlessness, as my small mind gets a brief reprieve from racing around, blasting messages on repeat from childhood.
In the sharp differences of opinion that have recently divided the whole world and many people I know, my personal practice has been to let go of my opinions, as it is clear that what I believe, no matter where I've read it, does not matter. What matters is what I know, because I’ve experienced it. I am finding that the truth of my personal experience is clashing with certain views going around, and as a result I am dealing with lack of respect for what I do know, even condescendingly being advised and schooled by people bent on getting me to believe what they believe. These interactions threw my system back into the distant past, and it took me all I had to bring my adult, parental self online, to be present with the parts which were activated by the attacks, disbelief and disrespect.
What I know from my experience is that the psychopathic leadership needs division so as to maintain control, and as people around the world are waking up to the reality of my childhood, of wide spread child rape, satanic ritual abuse and mind control among the world's most powerful, division between us needs to sharpen, and our attention diverted. What could be more important now, than to bridge divides between all of us, than to be a peacemaker and create real dialogue and work together towards a world in which we know we have the power, and we stop giving it away to a small number of psychopaths who can do nothing but exploit.
To do this, we need to take responsibility for our own lives. We need the emotional maturity the leadership lacks, so we can see through the lies, and let the insanity come into focus. The only way to attain clarity is by getting clear about ourselves, by doing our personal evolution work, that requires honesty and the courage to heal. This process opens our hearts and minds. Only going within connects us with our true self, psychologically and spiritually. The degree to which we are connected with our deeper truths is the degree to which we can sense what is true in all that comes our way from outside. Discernment, discrimination and patience are important qualities to cultivate in these times that are only a reflection of the insanity and internal dissociation of those in control, whereas our participation in the show, reflects our own unhealed parts. We can treat those emotionally younger parts that get aroused by the overwhelm of new information and divisiveness with the calmness and compassion they deserve, accept them and help them integrate into our psyche. As we do our own work we become more empowered, more committed to truth and peace, and this includes the difficult work of being accountable and holding others accountable for their actions, individually. It is pointless to focus on groups; they are faceless fronts, blank slates for unhealed inner parts to project upon from inside or outside the group.
If each overwhelm is seen as an invitation to go within, eventually we can all reach that state of acceptance of all outer conditions, no matter how trying. From that internal space, how difficult would it be to find respect for each other and unite?
